*mtl'd title, but represents the content?

Honestly, Qidian is the place for a brain twitch. I can understand that even young people can post online their free-wheeling compositions, but there should be a limit. It's assumption to say young, but honestly this level of delivery is something I'd expect of someone of a young age.
Summary: Su Yuqing is an 8 time Best Actress winner, she travels to a plot where she becomes a cannon fodder. But she binds the truth system and the ML is reborn. She doesn't have much time to live and the system tells her not to lie, so she became famous on the network with her straightforward personality.
It caught my attention only because of the "truth system", of course I don't point fingers in accusations, but honestly the beginning does feel "inspired". At least the novel I know and like a lot - Green Tea Goes Viral After Being Forced to Tell the Truth - is a novel where FMC has to tell the truth all the time, but she smartly used the system's loopholes to her advantages. I thought I'll see something similar.
Actually, the truth system in this novel doesn't really matter much, she basically tells what's on her mind and that could have been the setting. Su Yuqing also has a step-sister. This is why I continued to read even though the settings are ridiculous to say the least.
If I'm not wrong (hardly) Su Yuqing is on a strange variety show (that would have been banned in a second) where artists are participating and the least famous is voted to leave the entertainment industry completely. lol wat. But FMC is busy with filming later so she either visits or not depending on a situation. And if they treated it like a joke I didn't catch it.
The show travels to different places either farm or an island or jungle.... (with whooping 30 people of the cast, which often time doesn't even sound like it, this is why it should be a draft, but there are popular people among those who were not good), do all types of randomest tasks and later perform. But part of them are actors, not singers or dancers... Logic left the building. Also the fact that the show still went on live, while they had a suicide accident during one episode and later one person was wounded by wild animals in another one, but they still continued.
This brain rot is followed by public, the barrage is poorly written (not surprised). Same style like everything else if things should be made crystal clear. Everyone who surrounds Su Yuqing acts like a one-dimensional one-cell organism, many act the same like vicious and jealous women. Like what are you jealous about all day long? Only in novels people showcase their emotions to such extent, no one has so many conflicts all day long.
By the end of it I just started scrolling because this became so boring (I was doing that and asked myself why am I even bothering), but I needed an answer to SYQ's birth "mystery", which was brought up so many times it got boring. "Author" doesn't do any foreshadowing or hints at things, some things about the mystery of Su Yuqing's birth is indeed quite obvious, but characters keep repeating the same thing - like they guess/know what is the truth, but they need evidence. The reader is gaslighted.
The truth is she had a biological father Su Ye, who died in an accident. He left his daughter his shares in the company, same last name Su. Yuqing's "mother" married the wealthy Su family and Yuqing became adopted daughter, but her own mother treated her poorly, everyone in the family bullied her. She shouldn't have known about the shares. And she shouldn't have known that her mother is not her biological one. Sudden;y in the middle of the plot a man appears and from there we can see this part of the plot hanging in the air with the tag of mystery, but basically it's just to know the truth of SYQ's birth and the obvious connection of her father to wealthy families. While this man does nothing to be honest and always acts a bit mysterious, but who cares. It's just stupid, if he wanted her gone he'd do something, if he doesn't want to then why bother dancing around.
An accident with the "step-sister" happened and she was pushed into the water, the beginning of the story, she changes the soul and binds the truth system. Later she lets go more and more, but it also means breaking ties with the Su family where she grew up and taking what belongs to her. She stays on this show and shows her talents, which are many and the tide slowly starts to turn in her favor. Goes to auditions where she films quite basic stuff she finds challenging and we hear some scripts descriptions which are another brain twitch in and of itself (like some ancient drama where a heroine comes as a concubine's daughter, rises to prominence and becomes a queen mother eventually and she find it challenging, while the plot sound atrocious).
And Qidian FMCs suffer from this "too many talents", which SYQ demonstrates at any time. Of course she has hacking skills (stupid illogical part when she uses her skills among people made me laugh, maybe hacking is not illegal in their universe), she is smart, knows several languages, knows how to repair, knows how to sing and compose.
And of course she is beautiful, to the point where people gasp when they see her transforming into a role or appearing on a red carpet.
her portrayal is really.. at least better than the rest of characters. Other characters are either vicious or at least just there. Shallow and not interesting. There are so many of them, but not at least one decent. It's all shallow.

Just like relationship with ML.
ML knows the future and also his life is bound with FMC. So he starts it all with a motive but later of course is attracted to our main girl, because she's full of surprises etc. But the thing is.. the girl is only 18. She was not even of age when the story started. The story often forgets that she is so young, especially others. Even if the core is an older person.
But even if they developed steadily, I couldn't care about it.
To sound grand of course SYQ must come from a family that is above her previous one, but the man who "targetted" her should not be a true son and heir of the family, but she is. Actually, her previous family and ex-fiance did a better job at targetting, they at least created a safety hazard during filming which resulted in her fall from high altitude. But these guys who appeared...
All I can say is that some trashy novels are fun and trashy, but there is also garbage. Not to mention, it's an unfinished one. And of course it has a kidnapping case, this is where it abruptly ends. Qidian will always be Qidian.
What I'm most irked about is no matter how this thing tries to beautify it, but at several points it feels too "inspired" by the truth system of another novel.
