Despite such an obviously-sounding title the premise of this manhwa is what surprised me the most (the lore of this world he lives in).
This story is short but so precious, I recommend anyone to give it a go, you definitely won't regret it.
Because I came into reading this with zero spoilers, except for knowing the title and the cover (the very exact one of the manhwa itself, which attracted me in the first place). This is why I'd like to give a vague summary as well.
A found child was brought into child protection facility where Mori meets other children and slowly learns new things. Such as there are parents, such as there is a mom. As time goes by he receives his first letter and is told that he now has a patron, the letter is simple "hello" and the gifts are simple and well-thought. Seeing his friend reunite with their mother Mori starts to imagine what his mother would look like, so he sets on a journey to meet mom.

If you describe it in such a way it is hard to imagine that the world Mori lives in is a distant future, that one day extraterestial entity called Arbiter arrived on Earth and from then things changed.
I was so surprised by suddenly seeing some monsters and creatures. And then suddenly to know that there are aliens.
Mori is found in some dark space where we assume he lived for some time. He is a non-verbal child who grew up among some creatures. And he later transferred to a child protection home, it's not called orphanage though. There he meets several of other kids and they slowly grow closer. It's fun to see Mori's first reactions. One of the older girls says she waits for her mother, but she also feels sad because he rmother did not return when she promised. Yet one day Mori witnesses how this girl's mother appears and how they hug with love and laughter. By this time Mori started to receive gifts from unknown patron. he also thinks, maybe it's his mother, he imagines his own mother.
This is why he decides to go on a journey. He's a little kid, knowing no fear, no danger and off he goes.
Being ambushed he is saved by an outlaw named Ryder, who has the coolest character design might I add (the character designs in general were really cool and well thought-through). Ryder may not have best intention before he sees the insignia on Mori's cape, which belongs to the Fah clan.
Here I was really surprised by the lore, that Arbiter is an entity, something of higher realm, it's like looking at the sky and God. Arbiter is not unreasonable, but I liked that Gomyang tried to show that because they're not human they can not understand humans. Miria that appears later and is the secret patron of Mori is one of Arbiter's "fingers", basically she is a creation in some sort, also very powerful.
Miria does not look like what Mori expected her to look, since she is not human, but it doesn't mean she doesn't like him. Eventually they form a bond. It's so wholesome I can't, just thinking about it makes you kinda teary-eyed. Because it is a found family trope where Mori ends up with all the Fah clan family member and Ryder who joins them, since to Mori they are what he was looking for.
I like how when they got into trouble the topic changed to what it means to be a Mother. It's not a question that has a distinct answer, instead it has many answers, but none of them is true one, they all may be correct. The same is for how to be a Mother. Can they let Mori grow healthy and happy though they're not human. In each and every page you can see the care and love, of course because Mori is cute, but also what is best for Mori is their priority. And it is also for Mori to decide if he thinks they fit to fulfill that role.
Honestly, I was holding myself from crying when the Arbiter was deciding if to leave Mori to Fah clan or sent him to foster parents. Again it feels like such a cruel thing to say, but again they're not human. They care for humans, but they can't really judge like humans. And when they showed his drawings, oh, my heart. Since he is mostly non-verbal and can't express himself through words, but he can do so with pictures. Which showed his journey, showed his love.
So wholesome, so lovely.
Thanks to author for bringing such story to life, I love that it is short yet it drives the theme home, it has interesting premise and world aurrounding Mori, it has such a nice family dynamic between characters and is overall so-so lovely!
