[MOVIE] Spider-man: Brand new day (2026)

Well, isn't it here finally, it feels like it's been a while since the last movie cam out.
Overall, I liked it. It has drama, it has actually cool action sequences, worldy good messages.

In my honest opinion, because the plotline involves three movies with this one coming as a sort of conclusion. Part 2 - frame-up, Part 3 - trying to resolve the matter of frame-up and fucking things up even more, Part 4 - coming to terms with consequences of his actions and himself. So the next part which is promised can be and do anything, maybe start a new arc.

The drama and anguish is portrayed well. The movie also doesn't forget to make the action parts interesting and new. Though I hated myself for thinking while watching - are some parts looking a bit like AI or is it my imagination. I hate this process only because I want just to watch and enjoy, but since that shit appeared and became popular it became part of the process, which is annoying.
The story was fine, the introduction of Jane was also quite okay, since both share such a bond of losing people. And it also allowed both come tot erms with their loss and not spiral completely.
It's good that Peter reconnected with his friend and MJ, although they don't remember. But I'm guilty because I was remembering all the memes about Zendaya and her acting, though I thought she did an okay job. It's not like her roles require a deep and super amotional drama. Yet that scene where her mind was occupied and it fucked Peter up was quite impactful one.
I really liked how the movie was shot, I looked it up and indeed it was done by a different director. It's strange how intuitively yu feel the difference between different directors. Always makes me feel strange but whatever. Some action scenes I thought looked really innovative and I liked how it involved Spidey and his ability to produce web.
Oh but Punisher, was it the name of that dude? I never watched his series, I think he has his own series? Too much content about Superheroes. Anyway, it felt so out of nowhere for me, maybe I should have known some place where they become acquainted. No really, last movie was released 5 years ago, I don't remember it well, I have a feeling he wasn't there so... But didn't really bother me.
What bothers me the most in solo movies
Is the fact that each character feels too isolated from everyone else in their solo movies, as if the rest of other heroes are gone on vacation. Like so much is going on here, it's important but everyone is out doing their own thing. Maybe it's all about small potatoes and big potatoes.
Anyway, yes, too isolated. It always feels weird. But when it's a group movie they almost stumble at the sheer number of people. After watching the Doomsday trailer it feels that way, too many people. But they need to promote what they want to pick up, right?

Maybe the public still loves Marvel movies after the grande finale of Avengers back in.. 2019 was it? (have no idea about the overall opinion on the new movies, since I watch only selected franchises). But I have a feeling that they outlived themselves. They're still popular and go strong, but at the same time maybe it's my impression that the interest is waning. Maybe it's my impression because of solo projects that were released shortly after, I'm not sorry but some of the characters can't hold it, I can't judge but reviews say even storylines were kinda meh.
After all many of the central characters are out of the picture after Avengers Endgame concluded. But I realize that we can't keep everyone here forever. And Marvel Studios keeps bringing up more and new characters (which I don't care about, not sorry).
What surprises me the most is that at least they lay a groundwork this time when it comes to X-Men, I was surprised they decided to delve into it, since.. do we need to have another version? Is there something that was not told in those movies? (I only watched the old ones). But we have a hint of X-men on the horizon. Yet to me it's like.. doesn't really make sense much.
If to go on a tangent, as a person who watched the first movies back in early '00 or when they were released, the main point was there were a lot of mutants that lived in secret and it later became a whole thing how they wanted rights for mutants etc. So when I think about the isolation, almost like a bubble effect when it comes to other solo movies, I sit and think, so I should believe that in this universe these mutants existed all along, but they never showed up, because it wasn't the right time?
Not only the stories in movies create the idea of how much time passed, but also the actual time of the real world. Just wait more and Marvel Studios will celebrate 20 year anniversary since the release of Iron Man back in '08. So when something in their universe appears with idea - we were here all along - feels damn out of place and strange.

But whaever, we'll see how it goes from here. I'm still going to watch at least Spidey movies, Tom did a wonderful job. I have no idea how good he is in other movies, but it's dedication when they boy basically dreamed and trained to become Spider-Man.

No really, if he takes part in Doomsday movie do you think seeing Downey Jr' face will fuck him up?
