Moonlight before my bed
Seems like frost on the ground
I lift my head to gaze at the bright moon
I lower my head and miss home
A light breeze kisses the branches
Teasing the heart
This love that spans dawns and dusks
Will remain unforgotten for eons
The moon is amongst the water
And my heart sways along
With each step I reminisce
Every inch forward breaking my heart
I look back on the road I came
We wander these two worlds divided
Life is like a pot of tea
Death is like a touch of incense's fragrance
The music may cease
But the sound remains
They have left
My sorrow is useless
Flowers bloom, flowers wither
Alone, like a dream, like a homecoming
I'm drunk, drunk, drunk
Alone, I sing to the liquor
I'm drunk, drunk, drunk
Alone, I sing to the liquor
Moonlight before my bed
Seems like frost on the ground
I lift my head to gaze at the bright moon
I lower my head and miss home
I look back on the road I came
We wander these two worlds divided
Life is like a pot of tea
Death is like a touch of incense's fragrance
The music may cease
But the sound remains
They have left;
My sorrow is useless
Flowers bloom, flowers wither
Alone, like a dream, like a homecoming
I'm drunk, drunk, drunk
Alone, I sing to the liquor
I'm drunk, drunk, drunk
Alone, I sing to the liquor
Ha-ah, ha-ah, ha-ah, ha-ah ha ha
That lonely reflection remains in my heart
This beautiful face has become a white-haired head
Dreams of woodwinds, misty rain, and verdant mountains
Still wander in my heart
The moon has illuminated the sky
My eyes have blurred
Whose shadow is it that soars across
The mist and clouds in the sky?
The moon is full again
I raise my cup to ask the blue heavens:
Why does the pain of longing seem to have no end?
I've closed my eyes in this empty room
This is like a dream, like a homecoming
I'm drunk, drunk, drunk
Alone, I sing to the liquor
I'm drunk, drunk, drunk
Alone, I sing to the liquor
