[SHORT REVIEWS] #1

不小心坐了影帝大腿

(mtl: Accidentally sitting on an actor's thigh)

Jiang Yuan sat on a cold bench for 3 years after offending investor and not bending to apologize, she's actually a daughter of a wealthy family who ran from home and wanted to be an actor. 3 years later she comes across same investor and she doesn't bend, but she gets a drugged wine and accidentally lands on an actor's thigh when she was unsteady. One after another this evening ended up with her hip signed by the actor and a wildest night, this is how they started their story.

This is a basic story tbh, with many familiar things such as a ML (Ling Hou) with a past, which is tragic and dark, but he managed to live through it. We also have a humorous young lady, who is not a white flower, she is lively, but not obnoxious, she is cute, but not like other coquettish. This story is more of an erotica tbh, since it has so much s**, I'm amazed it isn't locked due to extent of descriptions and such. Anyway, both get together during filming, but Jiang Yuan doesn't concern herself why they got together so fast. But things take turn, from his indifference to a change of emotion, the iceberg ML still looks iceberg, but not really anymore. Although it's like 90 chapters long I got a bit bored by ch 60+ so I skipped to the end, nothing new tbh and what made me skip was the turn of events. Their relationship in many ways is I'm angry with you, but not for long, I leave, then we get back, we may fight a little, but then again we're good, well, like up and down relationship, but by ch 60 you find out that her ex-fiance and lover are half-brothers, Ling Hou left with mother to another country at a young age, but had a tragic childhood in underground fights and survival, which basically was played by his step-father after his mother's death. She tried to make him better without knowing full story, but when figuring out she realized that he approched with ulterior motives. What surprised and cooled me down is how she proposed to help him contact his father and get what belongs to him, but I was like - where's the logic behind that. Anyway, classic she fell for him before figuring out who he truly is, but it was late, yet chasing wife was successful. The only remarkable thing about this novel was actually author's style, the humor was lively and the tone was upbeat. Giving it 2,5/5 though.

最佳女配

(mtl: Best supporting actress)

Author: 顾子木. Tbh this one was bad from the get-go. I wondered why the first arcs were so short (5-10 chapters), but finishing quickly the first arc I realized why it was and fell into conteplation of why this got such high scores.

It's another QT novel with Yu Qi as our main character, she's a vicious supporting role in the novels, pro as they say, but basically I was surprised by three views in this one, not to mention how shallow and pointless it was.

I don't like novels where MCs are meant to follow the path, such as - if you're a supporting role, then you should do everything and don't have your own life, but complete the mission. Yu Qi has to make both female and male protagonists come together, but also make the big villain BOSS fall in love with her. First of all, she doesn't love anyone and is cheating feelings, I dislike this a lot in novels. Villain bosses, if they have a reason, then they have the motivation why they become villains. For example, in arc 1, the villain boss was treated like shit and it's understandable why he planned a revenge, but because Yu Qi slowly warmed up his heart he dropped the idea. Arc 1 really has a short span, just shortly covering time of several months I suppose and when the villain boss discarded the idea of revenge the arc was over the next second. There are no scenes actually, no plots, just this little play with feelings. I was completely stunned, so I dropped it right after. Maybe it gets better later, I don't know, I don't care.

我是炮灰呀[快穿]

(mtl: I'm a cannon fodder)

Author: 闲时听雨. This is magnificently retarded TvT. With heroine being a big decil, but honestly I had no idea what the author tried to write, sweet text? Where is it sweet? The girl just exists, thinks about money all the time, she doesn't know shit about the plot, has super strength too to help her against other people. I really couldn't handle it and dropped after several chapters, you know when something can't hook you up, this is the case. This QT is also pretty short, only 4 worlds, so not impressed.

她又美又狠[快穿]

(mtl: She's beautiful and ruthless)

Author: 五朵蘑菇. This is the third and last book about a female lead called Shao Yin. In which she was a cannon fodder, female supporting role and a heroine respectively. Before this I actually stumbled upon the first and second one, which to me were surprisingly better in terms of plot. Shao Yin is the type of FL that I don't like though, surely she gets pretty rough scripts, even as a heroine it's always like she's not a heroine, but the one who will suffer before reaching at least some sort of "HE". But in general she is like that, aloof, playing with people all the way. It doesn't mean that those with bad intentions don't deserve it, but even those who don't get any sincere feelings from her it seems. The scripts of these are also the dog blood type (I mean original scripts), of course she blows it out of proportion too.

大佬都爱我 [快穿]

(mtl: The big guys love me)

Author: 开花不结果. At first I thought of doing a whole separate review for this one, but then dropped the idea. The setting of this story become apparent after one world experience. Our main character - Jiang Rui, she is a fairy grass that transformed, her task was to travel worlds and heal her target person, collect shards of his soul and return them to the Immortal Realm. Basically an easy-peasy story, nothing bad, but honestly nothing exciting. There's really no plot to arcs, sometimes you can read like a chapter or two and be like - oh, this world is set in this period or has this theme to it. Mainly Jiang Rui figured at first that being the lover of the target person is the easiest, so at first it was like a play and capture that might taste bad, later she couldn't disregard all those years of true feelings and happiness, she wanted to change their roles but the ML falls in love wih her in every world anyway, so it was impossible and she followed with the flow, BUT it only sounds great as an idea, but the execution is really plain. Jiang Rui mentioned it only few times in general, like the heartache that he will forget her probably and she will be with those memories of them together. It was all plain, mainly the reaction of ML was also the typical of "I saw her, there wasn't anything at first, but I kept paying attention to her" and this is how his attention towards her starts every time and he arrives at the let's be together and marry right away pretty soon as step 2. Worlds themselves are not explored, mainly it's her catching him one way or another, their emotional entanglement in a good and cookie-filled text and that's it, sweet and plain. With almost 200 chapters of content I'd be lying if I said that I wasn't bored by the ending of it. I just skipped, since it didn't bring me any fascination in the long run. In the end it's like a whatever story lol.
